Oasis Duna is a quiet, gated complex on Calle Maxorata, a few minutes' walk from the old town and the harbour of Corralejo. It has the largest pool area in town — recently renovated, with a pool bar for a drink without leaving your sunbed — a minimarket inside the gates and free parking behind the barrier.

How do we get here from the airport?

Fuerteventura Airport (FUE) is about 40 km away: 35–40 minutes by taxi, roughly €40–55, or by hire car — Cicar and Europcar have desks at the airport. Tiadhe buses run too, with a change in Puerto del Rosario.

Is there parking?

Yes, free parking inside the complex behind a barrier; the flat's key fob opens it. On Tuesdays and Fridays, market days, the streets around fill up early.

Can we use the pools?

Every flat on this page has access. The pools are open 09:00–20:00, children must be supervised by an adult, and there is a pool bar for drinks and snacks.

Which beach is best for small children?

Playa del Moro, sheltered by the dunes, with calm water and a gentle slope. Further out, the La Concha lagoon at El Cotillo (20 km) is shallow and Caribbean-coloured, and the horseshoe bay of Caleta de Fuste (30 minutes) has no current at all.

What is the weather like?

Sunny nearly every day, 20–30 °C depending on the season, with a steady trade wind from the north that makes the heat comfortable — and makes people underestimate the sun. SPF 50 and a hat, especially for children. A few times a year a hot Saharan wind, the calima, pushes temperatures up and turns the sky yellow for a day or three.

Is the complex quiet?

It is a residential complex with families and long-term residents, so it asks for quiet from 21:00 to 09:00 and a siesta pause between 15:00 and 16:30. The apartments and common areas are non-smoking, and sunbeds cannot be reserved with a towel.

Where do we shop?

There is a minimarket inside the complex for the basics. Hiperdino is five minutes on foot, Lidl ten, Mercadona ten to twelve. Pharmacies are in the town centre; the duty pharmacy changes daily and is listed at corralejo.info.

What can we do in a day?

Isla de Lobos, fifteen minutes by ferry from the harbour — from about €17 return, and it sells out in August. The Corralejo market on Tuesday and Friday mornings. A walk in the dunes before the heat. El Cotillo and its lighthouse. Oasis Park at La Lajita, 45 km south, for a full family day with the animals.
